Box Office FAQ
Q. How early should I get there before the performance starts?
A. We hold a pre-performance discussion 45 minutes prior to show time. This discussion is a great way to hear the history of the play, insight into the design concept and what to look for as you watch the production. If you choose not to attend the pre-performance discussion, we recommend arriving approximately twenty minutes prior to show time. This will allow time to pre-order your intermission drinks, enjoy the lobby displays, and find your seat without feeling rushed.
Q. Where should I park?
A. At the Broadway Theatre Center, there is available parking on the street at the meters (which are free after 6:00 PM Monday-Saturday and completely free on Sundays) or in the lots and structures nearby. Many visitors to the Broadway Theatre Center use the parking structure on the corner of Water and Chicago or the parking structure on the corner of Milwaukee and Chicago, both of which are $6 a day or $4 after 4:00 PM. For more information about parking availability, please visit www.parkmilwaukee.com.
At the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, there is a parking structure associated with the facility (at 130 E. State Street) with parking for a fee. There is some street parking in the surrounding area. For more information about parking availability, visit www.parkmilwaukee.com.
Q. What happens if I arrive late?
A. To minimize the disturbance to the performers and audience, late patrons will be escorted by the House Manager to the most easily accessible seats at predetermined intervals in the play. Audio feed in our lobby will allow you to follow the performance until you're taken inside. You may move to your assigned seats at intermission.
Q. Can I bring my camera?
A. Please don't. Actors' Equity union rules prohibit the taking of photographs during performances. We are required to confiscate any recording equipment we see inside the theatre. Please refrain from using camera phones as well.
Q. I am having trouble getting through to the Box Office by phone. What can I do?
A. For performances at the Broadway Theatre Center, the Box Office (414.291.7800) is open from 12:00-6:00 PM Monday-Saturday and two hours prior to show time. The Box Office is closed on Sunday.
For performances at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, the Box Office (414.273.7206) is open 9:30-9:00 PM Monday-Friday and 12:00-9:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Q. Does my child need a ticket?
A. Yes. Everyone admitted to the play must have a ticket, regardless of his or her age. Patrons are discouraged from bringing any child that will not be able to remain still and quiet throughout the plays, which will run for two or more hours. If you have any questions about the appropriateness of a production for children, please call our Box Office.
Q. When can I come to the Box Office to purchase tickets in person?

Q. Can I add more tickets to my order at a later date?
A. You may order additional tickets at a later date, but we cannot guarantee that those seats will be near your original purchase.
Q. I cannot make the performance. Can I get a refund?
A. Unfortunately, Milwaukee Shakespeare is unable to provide refunds. If there are shows remaining in the run that you would be able to attend, we will do our best to switch your dates. Please call our box office for details.
Q. Is the seating wheelchair accessible?
A. There is accessible seating at both theatres. Please let the Box Office representative know that you will need accessible seating at the time of purchase and we will be pleased to accommodate you.

However, we also provide a variety of web resources including a play synopsis, play origin and history, audio interviews with the directors and designers and more to help enhance your experience with Milwaukee Shakespeare.
